How Do You Get From Cancun Airport To Your Hotel?
Cancun Airport sits roughly 16 km from Downtown Cancun and 20 km from the Hotel Zone, so a private transfer takes 20 to 35 minutes. Playa del Carmen runs 45 to 65 minutes and Tulum 90 to 120 minutes. Pre-booked drivers meet you outside the terminal, never inside.

Terminal 1 — Pickup & Drop off

Where Can We Take You From Cancun Airport?
One airport serves the whole Mexican Caribbean coast, and the drive to your hotel can be 20 minutes or two hours depending on where you booked. Here is what each stretch actually involves.
Cancun Hotel Zone and Downtown
The Hotel Zone runs along Boulevard Kukulcán, a 22 km strip where hotel numbers matter more than street names. Downtown is closer at around 16 km. Both are 20 to 35 minutes from the terminals, and a private vehicle drops you at your resort entrance rather than the nearest main road.
Puerto Morelos, Playa del Carmen and Playacar
Highway 307 runs south past Puerto Morelos, about 25 km out, then on to Playa del Carmen at roughly 55 km. Quinta Avenida in Playa is pedestrian only, so hotels on that street need a drop at a nearby access point. Your driver knows which ones, so you are not dragging cases down a closed street.
Tulum, Akumal and Puerto Aventuras
Tulum is 118 to 131 km south, which is 90 minutes to two hours in normal traffic and longer on holiday weekends. Beach road hotels sit several kilometres from the town centre on a single narrow road. This is the run where shared shuttles hurt most, because you may be the last stop of three.
